sh404SEF FREE Download

I got an email this morning from a guy that asked me why sh404sef was going commercial and stated that no one can download it unless they pay a $35 fee. I replied quickly and said that its not likely that its commercial, its that its a support fee which is well worth it in my opinion. After looking a bit into this, I realize that it does seem that my assessment is the likely motive in taking the open source product and offering a paid maintenance solution. Its the same exact approach we use with WPRealty. $35 really isn’t a lot of money and given the features it offers for making your Joomla project SEO friendly as well as user friendly.
None the less, I’ve decided to make the OLD GNU/GPL Free version available for download for anyone that wants it. I’m only doing this because some existing clients of mine requested a copy of the version for work on projects related to some of our Joomla plugins. This version is dated 09/02/09 (the date I downloaded it) and is file number and version ID com_sh404SEF-15_1.0.20_Beta_build_237.joomla1.5.x.zip
PLEASE understand that this download is made available in accordance to the license enclosed and I am NOT the developer, nor do I have a place to support sh404SEF. I strongly suggest however that you invest in the project by purchasing a subscription at the vendors new site. As I said above, its a worthy investment into the furtherance of this vital component.

[...] and possibly a fee to use so I posted up a copy from the last totally free version here; sh404SEF FREE Download | Jared Ritchey Design __________________ Every battle is won or lost before it is ever fought. http://www.JaredRitchey.com [...]
thanks for the info and the free packge!
thanks for sh404SEF
Thats a good thought you have made. And because many of us didnt take this email it was a bad desicion from siliana.
THank you for this.
Most welcome.
Jared
Awsome cheers dude i linked back to ya!
works a treat m8
you are fantastic. great great
Thats a very old and outdated version. If you really want to use an extension thats buggy then fine. personaly I would rather have the real thing. And I hope everyone that downloads this old version is skilled enough to know how to check it for backdoors that could have been inserted
Yep good point and I agree people should register and get the latest version, $30 really isn’t a lot given the features. This version was published here because it was the last “No strings attached” version that was available.
Your the Man!!!
I wasn’t sure if I needed this plugin or not, downloaded your version, I love it, now I’m going to pay fro the updated newer version.
Thanks so much, you saved me a lot of time/possible wasted money.
Thanks for this i’ll back this up myself for the future, 2yrs from now might come in handy
can you share language pack for me ? Im needing it
thank you for share..
Thanks… I’d rather give you my $35 for being nice than pay for something that should be open source.
thanks for doing it. you are a good man. Ya, It should be open source.
Just to let you know, I appreciate you effort am also going to make this component available on my site using same reason
well is this is for joomla 1.5?
thanks much for that!
thank you very very much
Please note that since sh404sef is still released under the GPL, if there is anyone of you that downloaded a later version from the website, you CAN redistribute that downloaded version for free through a website. If there’s anyone out there willing to do it, I would really appreciate!
Thank you for providing this….I already installed this on all my sites. I recently went to make a new site and was shocked to see this has gone commercial.
Oh well, I guess you have to pay for all good products eventually….what’s next, Joomla itself?
did you realize that the USD 35 is a YEARLY(!!!!!!!!!!!) fee. cant believe that this is true. thanxs for sharing this version! greets from .DE
Thans for this great share of sh404SEF Free version
thank you for posting this. I ciannot believe that they are making money after using us as beta testers. *sigh* Work continues… on JuicySEO then
This was also another reason I went to the Drupal. Although ecommerce is a horribly ineffectual product. When’s the Drupal / Joomla marriage happening? Take the best from both and ditch the rest. Call it Droomla and sell it for $800 a license… oops.
http://www.droomla.com
Thats a very old and outdated version. If you really want to use an extension thats buggy then fine.
@ Stingy Pete
You would rather pay someone hosting it than the developer that spent 3 years working on the project?
Yeah I think its well worth it to pay the $35 to support the developers. Its a difficult thing to maintain both support and updates to a product as I publish about 30 of them myself. Most of which are free. Support Ware seems to be where things are going.
Dear All, I need the sh404SEF for Joomla 1.0.x. Can I kindly ask you to send it to me (to my email adress)if everyone has it? I will appreciate it very much.
Thanks. Budicek
THANKS A TON!!
Hi,
nice job. Now they can’t say anything because this component should be free amd now you free it!
Thanks for sh404SEF
Fantastic, I needed this for a reinstall and couldn’t find my original download. Thanks for helping everyone out.

Thanx bro!
Thanks!! This works great. The new one did not work for me even after paying for the subscription. Thanks for making this available.
Where do I get the sh404sef plugins that correspond to this release?
Srini
Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing this Joomla extension. Althought it’s a beta version and has a lot of bugs (for example it doesn’t work well with the latest version of Joomla, that is 1.5.15) you can find an update patch for it and, after overwriting the component files installed by the beta version, it works great.
Thanks again!
Thanks so much friend
Thanks! I’m using this to get the /index.php from the template.
I would be willing to pay $ 10 for it, but never a yearly fee.
thanks man !
you have help the community
Nice thanks.
Not Gud….. There are no meta tag editor options in this plugins…
Check closer my friend. It has meta tag optino to0. Don’t forget to switch to extended display (with all available parameters) in the right upper corner.
Great stuff from you, man. Ive read your stuff before and youre just too awesome. I love what youve got here, love what youre saying and the way you say it.
do you know where can find the versione for joomla 1.0?
I really need it.
please contact me jacksoggetto at gmail dot com
Hey,
Thank you very much for this free component. It helped me a lot….
Id pay $10 for it and many more would also – support is unpaid beta testing considering the source of code was free and worked on freely and the devs would need to develop the code in pace with this or render the component useless quickly. Less cost would sell many more imo – its a good extension but $35? I think not. Ive stuck with this release until joomla 1.6 comes out or my coder son gets off his arse and ‘improves’ it for me
Here’s another link to the last known free version I downloaded.
