Variable Flash Elements Positions
A short blurb about the positioning elements like the Adobe Page Turn and Adobe Page Flip items on your site will save you a bit of headache others have experienced.
I published some time ago how to add variable code to control when a particular items shows up on a site based on its URL and this technique can be applied to the display of elements like the Adobe Flash Page Peel and Adobe Flash Page Flipping Book Effects. With the Page Flip or Flash Book as its sometimes called. I’ve applied variable code using PHP to display the book only one time per visit which used session cookies to work properly. With the variable code post I made, its easy to apply a feature in dynamic sites where an element like a flash item displays only on a particular page. Albeit easy in CMS Applications like Joomla, products like Open Realty and or WordPress (depending on the template) can be a bit difficult. You can read the post here.

Hello,
I too would really appreciate the sample code. If you could send it to me I would greatly appreciate it. I am actually looking for exactly what you described above which is a flash driven page turner application based on files rendered from the contents of the xml. This would be a big hit.
Thanks,
Jay
i can’t find any demo ?
is there one available?
I downloaded a tutorial that has the .fla file and teaches you step by step how to make the turn page effect. I forget the website I went to, but I can email you the .fla file with explainations.
email me if you want these.
I found what your looking for, but I forget the website I went to.
The turning page effect in flash is a little complicated, but this tutorial might help.
email me and I can send you the .fla file.

Hello David, I sent an email, waiting to hear back from you. BTW I removed your phone number from the post.
Hi,
First of all, I would like to thank you for posting this. It’s great, and easy to use.
I was able to adjust the file and everything. And when I do “control test movie” in flash, it plays just fine. But when I export the file as a swf, it saves it only saves the background (the file is empty). I’ve saved other files as swf and they work fine. What am I doing wrong with this one? Please get back to me as soon as you can, I really need this for my project.
