Having template and code issues here. The template I have for the website works well with with my own articles and links but with Ez Realty it becomes a pain in the neck! Some features just won’t work, no matter what template you use when it comes to tasks of that module. I have tried a lot of thing, even tried to make adjustments in the database. Some codes are wrong and it limitates me from using some features that comes with it. Buying Ez Realty is a waste of money at the moment if you want a professional website, unless you have the time and skills to rewrite some codes.

I’ve been looking at OR, and CMSRealty and EzRealty.

Jared – what is your preferred method if you want to combine OR with Joomla (or any other cms for that matter)

Excellent comparison. I am attempting to build a type of real estate site and am searching for a suitable listing manager. My site is in wordpress.I purchased a smooth theme with an integrated manager – wprealty -which i am a bit dissappointed with. How easy is open realty to use with wordpress – is there a suitable way of doing this. I also need to link it to a separate picture viewer – like a photo gallery plugin.

Yeah no wrappers, plugins and bridges is how we do things. It makes for a cleaner look.

Hi. I would just like to point out that Dalt’s comments are completely misinformed. There are 3 or 4 encyrpted files, but these in no way affect the use of the product, or the customisation of it. The developer supports both Mambo and Joomla, and has recently released several updates for the component for, wait for it, yep Joomla.

EZ Realty already uses suburbs, and can already be customised if you know what you are doing, despite the encrypted files.

After days of searching and reading your enlightening article was a breath of fresh air in a sea of unless information.

Thanks for a very taking the time to publish your honest opinion on Open Realty. I had decided to pass it up and purchase a “canned” script but took one last shot and found your site.

Can you take the page up one more level and tell us uninformed and unknowing what files need to be revised before uploading to our servers?

Great comparison! I have worked with both solutions and have yet to find one that does everything I need.

As far as the IDX solution, I would be VERY interested if you have something to import data into either system.

Also, does it do updates for changes in status and price or does that need to be done manually? Any help you have is greatly appreciated.
